Differences in the Matrix Treadmill Lineup
Not sure which Matrix treadmill model is right for your needs? Thankfully the extensive range means there’s a unit to suit every purpose and budget.
The T7XE is Matrix’s top of the range model. It features a highly intuitive touch screen and vibrant 15″ LCD display. The T7XE includes their patented Dynamic Response Drive System™ which adjusts the belt speed based on a user’s footfall. This creates a smoother and more natural running experience that’s in tune with the user’s pace. It also has the highest speed of the entire Matrix treadmill range, at up to 15 miles per hour to accommodate athletes.
The next model down from the T7XE is the T5X. Both feature the Ultimate Deck™ which delivers superior performance and durability. The polymer deck is maintenance-free and completely reversible, so it lasts twice as long as a classic deck. Although the T5X has a slightly lower top-speed of 12 miles per hour, it’s enough to meet the needs of most everyday gym members.
The T5X and T5MX are fairly similar in terms of functionality. They share many of the same specs including a max speed of 12 miles per hour, 15% incline, and 22” wide running belt. This larger than average width provides an added sense freedom as users run.
A key difference between the T5 models is the screen display. The T5X features a stylish LED screen whereas the T5MX has a traditional LED console. You also get an extensive range of pre-set workouts with the T5X, including rolling hills, fat burn, 5k, Target HR, Gerkin protocol, Army PFT, Navy PRT, Marine PFT, Air Force PRT, and physical efficiency battery (PEB).
The Matrix T3-MX and T3-XI have a slightly smaller running belt width of 20”. They both feature up to 15% incline and top speeds of 12 miles per hour. They also have 3 horsepower motors, which are slightly lower in output than the 5 horsepower motors found in other models. Both the T3-MX and T3-XI are commercial grade treadmills making them suitable for any health club or gym facility. The MX has a dot-matrix display however the XI features a slight upgraded LED console.
